9月24日、25日两天，句容碧桂园学校融合课程小学部开展了ISA评估。

On September 24th and 25th, ISA assessment was held in Integrated Curriculum Primary Division.

ISA(International Schools' Assessment)评估是由澳大利亚教育研究有限公司委员会(简称ACER)为国际学校3-10年级学生专项设计，特别针对国际学校学生的数学理解能力、英语阅读和写作能力进行评估。

The ISA (International Schools' Assessment) was designed by the Australian Council for Education Research LTD (short for ACER) for grades 3-10 in International Schools. It specifically assits students' maths comprehension, English reading and writing abilities.

该项评估不是一种竞赛或比赛性质的测试，并不测试学生是否“通过”，而是以此反映和描述学生所学的知识和掌握的技能。历年评估成绩统计，我校成绩均显著高于全球平均水平，充分证明了我校学生的综合素质。而这综合素质的背后，是全体数学教师用心和智慧的结晶。

The assessment is not a competitive test, and does not measure whether a student "passes", but rather reflects and describes the knowledge and skills that the student has acquired. According to the statistics of evaluation scores over the years, our school's scores are significantly higher than the global average level, which fully proves the comprehensive quality of our students. Behind this comprehensive quality is the crystallization of all mathematics teachers' heart and wisdom.

融合课程小学部的数学课堂十分注重双语教学，每位教师都有很多教材原版教材作为参考，如新加坡,加州等，为使学生在有限的时间里高质量的学习和理解，教师们会将其进行整合。因此，在每一学期开始前，老师们不仅需要备好苏教版的相关内容，更要花大量的时间研读各种国际教材，将其浓缩提炼后教给学生。从一年级开始，学生们便开始接受这样的教学模式，大口吮吸知识精华。于是，就有了这项评估的历年佳绩。

The mathematics classroom of the Integrated Curriculum Primary School attaches great importance to bilingual teaching. Every teacher has many original textbooks for reference, such as Singapore, California, etc. which are integrated by teachers in order to enable students to learn and understand in a limited time with high quality. Therefore, before the beginning of each semester, teachers not only need to prepare the relevant contents of the Sujiao Edition, but also spend a lot of time studying various international coursebooks, refining them and teaching them to students. From the first grade, students start to accept this teaching mode, sucking the essence of knowledge. Hence the historical success of this assessment.

ISA的英语阅读和写作部分主要是针对母语国家的孩子们设计的，难度比我们平时的练习高很多，但是我们仍能够在趣味活动的引导下帮助孩子们掌握必要的知识和技巧。

英语写作之一的议论文是**的挑战，因为对于四五年级的孩子们来说，能形成比较成熟固定的观点、并用比较充分的理由去支持观点实属不易，而在考试中，他们还需要使用已经掌握的英语去合理清晰地进行表达。不过不用担心，老师们自有小妙招。在课堂上，我们巧妙地使用OREO(奥利奥)激发学生的兴趣和思考：O-opinion(观点)，R-reason(原因)，E-example(举例)，O-opinion(观点)。在老师的引导和奥利奥的“诱惑”下，孩子们能够建立基本的文章结构，并在相互的讨论中逐渐使自己的观点成熟完善起来，为最终的写作打下了基础。

Argumentative writing in English is one of the greatest challenges, because it is not easy for children in grades 4 and 5 to form mature and fixed opinions and support them with good reasons, and they need to use the English they already know to express themselves reasonably and clearly in the exam. But don't worry, the teachers have their own goodideas. In class, we use OREO writing prompt to arouse students' interest and thinking: O-Opinion, R-reason, E-example, O-Opinion. Under the guidance of the teacher and the "temptation" of OREO, the children are able to build the basic structure of the article and gradually mature their ideas in the mutual discussion, laying the foundation for the final writing.

开学以来，老师们带领学生们进行了充分地备考，大家对考试充满信心。期待同学们在这次评估中再创辉煌!
