Digital technology and culture is an interdisciplinary degree program that combines the creative production and critical exploration of digital media. DTC emphasizes a historical, rhetorical, and cultural understanding of digital media so as to prepare students for problem solving and communicating both locally and globally.

Strengths of the Program

Use the latest technology for designing and distributing digital works in various mediums. Learn strong design principles through both the production and analysis of media objects. Understand the way digital media and information function and circulate in multiple cultural contexts. A historical perspective on technological development, from local to global perspectives, and its implications for a variety of mediums. Interdisciplinary courses explore the global changes brought about by digital media. Make meaningful digital media texts of your own—get hands-on experience putting your ideas into writing, speech, and visual form.

为来自中国的学生设计 Student needs to complete at least 12 years of school, culminating in an appropriate secondary certificate or external examination. (We may consider the first year or two of university in some countries to be secondary level). Schooling should include preparation in humanities, mathematics, basic sciences, and social sciences. WSU requires a minimum grade point average of 2.70 (on a 4.00 scale) for admission as an international freshman. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - Minimum Score 213 computer-based (CBT); 79 internet-based (iBT); 550 paper-based (PBT); IELTS – 6.5; MELAB – 77.
