专业概况

在这里学什么？

English majors will hone their analytical and communication skills, which are essential to any career. They will also develop an appreciation of mankind’s plights, achievements, fears, and desires as they are reflected in literature.

Our English department provides extensive instruction in composition and literary analysis. We believe that focused discussions in small classrooms about good books and good writing provide the best kind of education for students of literature. We also work individually with students on their own writing endeavors and interpretations of literary texts. Several of our majors have published their scholarship in journals have presented scholarly and creative works at literary conferences.

为来自中国的学生设计 A candidate for admission should have been graduated from an approved secondary school. Applicants who have not completed four years of high school must submit a High School Equivalent Diploma (GED) issued by their state department of education. English Language scores: IELTS: 6.5, iTEP: 4.0+, TOEFL IBT: 80, TOEFL PBT: 550.
