Are you interested in pursuing a career as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine? SUNY Old Westbury has a program that enables you to complete 3 years towards your Bachelor of Science degree at Old Westbury and begin your first year of Medical studies at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM).

This accelerated B.S. /D.O. program requires admission both to SUNY Old Westbury and NYITCOM. Students accepted into the program are assured admission to the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine provided that they maintain a minimum 3.50 grade point average, provide adequate scores on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), and receive approval from NYITCOM faculty following an interview to be conducted during the third year of the program. Students must also complete the regular pre-medical science courses within the first three years. Matriculation at NYITCOM will occur in the fourth post-high school year.

Students in the program will receive their B.S. after one year in medical school and their D.O. after completing the normal 4-year medical school curriculum. The regular premedical course requirements, in addition to major program requirements and general education requirements, include courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics, English and physics. The program is designed for students entering SUNY College at Old Westbury from high school.

为来自中国的学生设计 Admission to the College is based on students’ successful completion of secondary school and on their academic achievement. All evaluations conducted by WES or ECE are designed to equate the level of education in other countries to the level of education within the U.S. International freshman applicants must have an equivalent secondary school average of an 80 (US average) or above. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 513 on the paper version or 183 on the computer, or 61 on the Internet version is required. A minimum composite score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). iTEP score: Score of 3.5, Step EIKEN test: Grade Pre-1.
