This MSc in Business Psychology, a discipline which is also known as Occupational Psychology and Organisational Psychology,will equip you with an in-depth understanding of the psychological mechanisms that drive positive behaviours and performances in the workplace.
Whether you come from an industry position or directly from a psychology or business degree, this highly respected programme of study will equip you with an effective blend of specialist knowledge from the fields of psychology, management and leadership.
The content on this highly-focused masters degree has been tailored to meet the needs of those working towards a careers as a Business Psychology Practitioner, Human Resources Manager, Organisational Development Manager, Coaching Consultant, Management Consultant or Leadership Consultant.
You will develop commercial awareness and an understanding of global organisations which will allow you to recognise the impact of the economy, politics, globalization and the changing labour market on the psychology of a workplace and performance of individuals and teams.

On MSc Business Psychology you will explore different aspects of the psychological mechanisms behind workplace behavior and be equipped with the managerial expertise to enhance and improve performance of teams and individuals, building expertise in:

You will also gain specialist theoretical knowledge in the areas of psychology which directly apply to business settings and master psychological research methods which can be practiced in the workplace.
By viewing the workplace through a psychological perspective, and by developing your analytical, critical thinking, and reflection skills, you will learn to recognize and improve seemingly intangible aspects of the workplace which, when appropriately managed, can directly improve business performance, in areas such as:

Specifically designed group tasks and presentations will allow you to develop your interpersonal and communication skills. Improving these skills will give you the platform to implement your expertise and directly improve the performance of diverse groups of individuals and teams at any level within an organisation.
Throughout this programme you will learn from a unique blend of research-led academic teaching and industry-focused practical experiences. For example, on our Psychology of Coaching course you will develop expert knowledge in the theoretical frameworks of coaching psychology whilst receiving insights into practical coaching skills, tools and techniques from lecturers who draw direct from experience as coaching practitioners and consultants. Students will also achieve PGDip and PGCert awards in this course.

Exceptions to the above: For Masters Programmes in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics students are required to have 80% or above. For Masters Programmes in Brewing and Distilling students are required to have 80% or above. For Masters Programmes in Photonics, students are required to have 75% or above.
