Careers

A major in Spanish can be useful in the many business and service organizations in the United States that need employees who are bilingual in English and Spanish. Hispanics are at present the largest minority in the United States, and Spanish-speaking graduates have the advantage of using their language skills in practical and comprehensive applications.

Knowledge of the Spanish language is also useful in international businesses or organizations that interact with the world's many populations who speak Spanish.

With additional study, a major in Spanish can lead to work as a Spanish teacher at the high school or college/university level.

为来自中国的学生设计 Student needs to complete at least 12 years of school, culminating in an appropriate secondary certificate or external examination. (We may consider the first year or two of university in some countries to be secondary level). Schooling should include preparation in humanities, mathematics, basic sciences, and social sciences. WSU requires a minimum grade point average of 2.70 (on a 4.00 scale) for admission as an international freshman. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - Minimum Score 213 computer-based (CBT); 79 internet-based (iBT); 550 paper-based (PBT); IELTS – 6.5; MELAB – 77.
