在这里学什么?Chinese language study at WSU focuses on two goals:
Proficiency with reading and speaking the language; and Knowledge of the countries and cultures where the language is spoken.
A foreign language major allows for direct access to people and cultures other than your own and provides the training necessary to flourish in a complex world where global awareness, cultural understanding, and intercultural communication are vital aspects of business, government, and education.
Strengths of the program
Chinese is an excellent complement to other disciplines, including business, communications, management and information systems, engineering, history, veterinary medicine, and agriculture.

Foreign language majors must also complete either a minor in a second foreign language, a concentration of at least 16 credits in a related field, or a second major.
The foreign languages program
CHINESE MAJOR
The Chinese program offers three years of Chinese language study and several courses taught in English on Chinese and Asian culture. To major in Chinese, a student must take the minimum requirement of 34 foreign language credits.
In addition to your major language, you'll need to complete ONE of these supplemental requirements:
A minor in a second foreign language Concentration of at least 16 credits in a field related to your major language A second major

为来自中国的学生设计 Student needs to complete at least 12 years of school, culminating in an appropriate secondary certificate or external examination. (We may consider the first year or two of university in some countries to be secondary level). Schooling should include preparation in humanities, mathematics, basic sciences, and social sciences. WSU requires a minimum grade point average of 2.70 (on a 4.00 scale) for admission as an international freshman.
