专业概况

The English program is specifically designed to assist international students wishing to enter Bond University. The program provides students with the academic language skills required in a university where English is the medium of instruction; these skills include the macro areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking (including pronunciation) as well as critical thinking and research skills. Students will develop relevant academic skills, digital literacies and intercultural competency in preparation for higher education and beyond.

About the program

Bond’s English program is designed to improve your English language skills to enter University. Offered in 10-week blocks, the subjects increase English language proficiency and develop academic skills, digital literacies and intercultural competence in preparation for university study. The program provides a personalized teaching approach in a supportive environment with dedicated student support. English students can access the same support services, leisure, library and IT services available to all University students.

Completion of English Level and Next study

7 with a Distinction or High Distinction grade: Students who attain a grade of Distinction or higher in English 7 will be eligible for entry into University programs that have an entry requirement of IELTS 7.0 with no band less than 6.5.

Due to the specific accreditation requirements, the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Master of Psychology (Clinical), Master of Professional Psychology, and Master of Occupational Therapy require a formal English test.

7 level: Students will be eligible for entry into programs that have an IELTS entry requirement of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0.

6 level: Students will be eligible for entry into Level 7 and the Bond University Higher Education Diplomas and the Diploma Preparation Program.

5 level: Students will be eligible for entry into Level 6 and the Bond University College Foundation Program.

4 level: Students will be eligible for entry into Level 5.

3 level: Students will be eligible for entry into Level 4.
