The BS with an Option in Community Development provides you the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in or dealing with the public sector. You will learn best practices regarding leadership, communications, research, diversity, group dynamics, economics, human resources, policy-making, and strategic planning within a community setting.

Increase your personal brand value with the skills to effectively meet the administrative challenges of community-focused employers for nonprofits, community agencies, and private enterprise. With a focus on fiscal management, cultural diversity, and leadership this concentration will prepare you to address the social, economic, and environmental issues facing communities, towns, small cities, and urban neighborhoods.

English language requirements: Test of English as a Foreign Language (minimum score of 550 PBT, 213 CBT, or 79 IBT), International English Language Testing System (minimum score of 6.5), Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (minimum score of 77), Pearson Test of English (minimum score of 53), ELS Language Center Program: Completion of Level 112.
