在这里学什么？ The purpose of history is to develop an understanding of the past in order to live wisely in a diverse and global community. History offers original and indispensable ways of looking at human experience because it distinguishes and evaluates continuity amid the forces of change. By means of historical inquiry, the modern world is seen as shaped by the past. History prepares individuals to live wisely in a diverse and global community by teaching them to understand, analyze and interpret the past, evaluate critically the way in which the past shapes the current world, and develop the skills that allow them to communicate their knowledge and ideas effectively.
