With an MPA in Emergency and Disaster Management from MCNY, you can be the leader our community trusts in a disaster or emergency.

A highly specialized degree that covers the planning, management, logistics, response, relief, recovery and economics associated with managing emergency situations, you can complete this accelerated, accredited program in just 12 months.

This program will allow you to:

Focus on significant issues in emergency management and homeland security including public health, terrorism, disaster management, economics and the role of federal and state governments.

Participate in internships at various public and private agencies including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the NYC Office of Emergency Management (OEM).

Integrate classroom theory and practical, hands-on, experiential knowledge throughout your four semesters of study.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants must have a college/university transcript proving bachelor's degree completion with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from an accredited institution of higher education. English Language Requirements: TOEFL Scores – IbT (80 or above) or PbT (550 or above); IELTS – Academic band score of 6.0 or higher; Pearson – PTE Score of 53 or better; LSI – Completion of Advance Level English course (recommendation letter from language instructor required); ELS – Completion of ELS Language Center course of 112 or higher (recommendation letter from language instructor required); Kaplan International – Completion of an Advance Level English course (recommendation from language instructor required); Manhattan Language – Completion of an Advance Level English course (recommendation from language instructor required); Rennert Language – Completion of an Advance Level English course (recommendation from language instructor required) A GMAT score of 520 or higher; A GRE verbal score of 440 or higher and writing score of 3.5 or higher; A revised GRE verbal score of 145 and a writing score of 3.5 or higher.
