专业概况
在这里学什么?MCNY’s MS in Education: Dual Childhood/Special Education is a unique master’s program accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and nationally recognized by both the Association of Childhood Education International (ACEI) and the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). This accelerated one-year, full-time 46-credit program is designed for the highly motivated individual who wants the flexibility of holding certifications to teach in a general, inclusive or special education setting on the elementary level.
This program will allow you to:
Participate in a challenging curriculum with both face-to-face and on-line coursework, with a one-year residency of field experiences and student teaching in compliance with NY State Education Department regulations.
Directly teach and learn how to develop positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and others in the school community.
Learn how to effectively use educational technology. You will be given a laptop computer to help you explore, evaluate and effectively integrate instructional technologies throughout the school curriculum.

MCNY Master’s in Education graduates will be eligible to sit for both initial New York State certifications in Childhood 1–6 General Education and in Childhood 1–6/Special Education.

English Language Requirements: TOEFL Scores – IbT (80 or above) or PbT (550 or above); IELTS – Academic band score of 6.0 or higher; Pearson – PTE Score of 53 or better; LSI – Completion of Advance Level English course (recommendation letter from language instructor required); ELS – Completion of ELS Language Center course of 112 or higher (recommendation letter from language instructor required); Kaplan International – Completion of an Advance Level English course (recommendation from language instructor required); Manhattan Language – Completion of an Advance Level English course (recommendation from language instructor required); Rennert Language – Completion of an Advance Level English course (recommendation from language instructor required) A GMAT score of 520 or higher; A GRE verbal score of 440 or higher and writing score of 3.5 or higher; A revised GRE verbal score of 145 and a writing score of 3.5 or higher.课程信息
