COURSE OVERVIEW

History and Politics explores how historical events directly influence global politics. You will learn about British and European politics as well as medieval, early modern and modern history, through subjects including women’s history and gender, public history and heritage.

Studying this three-year BA degree course opens up a range of exciting career opportunities by helping you develop skills, which are highly valued by employers.

YOUR HISTORY AND POLITICS EXPERIENCE

During your three-year History and Politics course you will have an academic mentor for any pastoral and academic support you may need, and The Society of Ancient Studies and History student society organises social and cultural events.

We offer varied and flexible course content and you can tailor your degree to your own interests with a variety of topics to choose from. Politics modules include conflict and peace, democracy, politics, philosophy, international relations, international security, public policy and political economy
