This Online International Marine Science Programme offers students from a variety of backgrounds, including marine biology, geology, geography, Law and Policy and others, the opportunity to integrate their expertise in the wider marine science context.

The highly interdisciplinary field of Marine Science aims to understand the biology, chemistry, geology and physics of this dynamic system so central to all our lives. It also considers the overarching influence of climate change and how policy can be brought to bear on managing the resources of the ocean as part of the Blue Economy.

Flexible study options

The online learning programme provides flexible study options that fit around work or family. Features include:

Students have a maximum of two years to complete each course assessment from registration Students can choose to sit exams in one of over 400 exam centres around the world Students receive comprehensive materials for each course through an online Virtual Learning Environment (Blackboard)

为来自中国的学生设计 For most of our Masters level programmes we require a good first degree in a relevant subject. Science and Engineering (1st degree classification): 985 University (70%), 211 University (72%), Other Institutions(75%). Other than 1st- 985 University (65%), 211 University (68%), Other Institutions(70%). Business: 985 University (65%), 211 University (68%), Other Institutions(70%). Art and Design: 985 University (65%), 211 University (68%), Other Institutions(70%). Exceptions to the above: For Masters Programmes in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics students are required to have 80% or above. For Masters Programmes in Brewing and Distilling students are required to have 80% or above. For Masters Programmes in Photonics, students are required to have 75% or above. Students require IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each element or an acceptable equivalent.
