专业概况

在这里学什么？

The Bachelor of Design and Education will prepare you for a professional career in design and qualify you to work as a visual arts and design teacher.

The degree allows students to pursue a teaching specialization in visual arts, with the option of a second teaching specialization in graphics and multimedia technology.

Alongside the theoretical aspects of education, we place great importance on practical experience.

In your final two years, you will develop skills in classroom competence and spend up to 80 days in supervised teaching in at least two secondary-school contexts.

Degree Structure

The Bachelor of Design (Honours)/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) is a 5 year dual award program that prepares you for a career as a design professional, as well as a visual arts and design educator.

The Bachelor of Design (Honours) degree has an integrated approach to design, where graduates gain flexible skills that allow them to work across a wide range of design disciplines. Our Design and Education gain teaching specializations in:

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants should have a high school qualification, UNSW Foundation Studies, UNSW Diploma, recognized prior study or university transfer. English Language requirements: IELTS Academic version only: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT): 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); TOEFL Paper-based Test (PBT): 577 overall (min. 5.0 in TWE); Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); UNSW Institute of Languages University English Entry Course (UEEC): Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component; Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest); Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest).
