The MHA degree from CMU readies students for senior healthcare leadership with the skills and knowledge necessary to respond to the dynamic nature of today’s healthcare industry. These leaders are trained in critical thinking and strategic operations to ensure an enduring and effective future for healthcare. Courses focus on topics such as finance, marketing, economics, planning, population health, quantitative methods, and management as they apply to healthcare organizations.

Graduates will be qualified for such positions as:

• Senior-level Hospital Administration
• Nursing Home CEO
• Group Practice Manager
• Senior Department Manager

And many more high-level healthcare positions in hospitals, healthcare systems, care facilities, Veterans Administration, healthcare research facilities, and more. Central Michigan University has notified the Commission on the Accreditation for Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) of its intent to seek accreditation for the MHA program upon meeting the eligibility requirement of having graduated at least two classes.

English language requirements: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A score of 500 PBT/61 IBT is required for conditional admission or 550 PBT/79 IBT for regular admission. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Module: A score of 5.5 required for conditional admission or 6.5 for regular admission. Pearson Test of English, Academic Module: A score of 44 for conditional admission or 53 for regular admission. International Baccalaureate (IB): A grade of 5 in English at the Higher Level is required for regular admission. Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): A score of 69 is required for conditional admission or 77 for regular admission. ELS Language Center Program: Completion of Level 112 for regular admission. ELI (CMU English Language Program): Successful ELI completion and recommendations for regular admission.
