UMSL Cyber Start Grant for Fall 2020 - Under this scheme, F1 international students who are unable to report to campus this fall due to COVID19 are able to pay a reduced rate of tuition. • This will only be for the Fall 2020 semester as the students should be on campus in Spring 2021 paying regular rates. • Any UMSL Global scholarship awarded for Fall 2020 would be deferred until Spring 2021. • Students must be enrolled in a degree program conducive to online learning.

The interdisciplinary curricula unify a body of knowledge from criminology, social science, law, public administration, and corrections, and provide the student with an understanding of the assumptions, values, and processes of the system of justice. Many pre-law students choose criminology and criminal justice as an undergraduate major because of the excellent preparation offered for law school.

Expected Learning Outcomes Students will demonstrate critical thinking to reflect a depth, breadth and integration of knowledge in the key areas of criminology and criminal justice, law, theory, research methods, statistics, and criminal justice policy. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the three areas of the criminal justice system: policing, courts, and corrections. Students will analyze the role that class, race, gender and culture play in crime and criminal justice. Students will be able to evaluate and report research findings and data in a professional and ethical manner. Graduates will be able to formulate and assess research questions, recognize the need for information and the knowledge to procure that information from relevant scholarly literature and databases, design research projects grounded in theory and scholarship, and evaluate data critically. Graduates will be able to build upon internship and service-learning experiences to apply theory into practice in the public and private sectors.

为来自中国的学生设计 Official transcripts: Students in their last year of high school should submit transcripts for all years completed thus far. Students who have completed high school must submit final transcripts and degree certificates or exam results. Students who have studied at a college or university must submit university transcripts to date. If you have completed more than 24 credit hours at a university, you do not need to submit high school transcripts. Transcripts are required from all high schools or universities attended. Proof of English proficiency: Minimum requirements are 61 TOEFL, 5.5 IELTS, or 44 PTE-A, 85-90 Duolingo.
