专业概况

在这里学什么？ Teaching takes place at the Parkgate Road Campus and the Kingsway Buildings.The Creative Writing course gives you the opportunity to develop the skills and techniques to become a creative writer in poetry, drama and fiction (flashes, short stories, novels), and also to write critically. You will learn how your own work fits into the wider world of literature and contemporary publishing. In addition, the study and practice of Creative Writing enables you to develop a number of transferable skills that are highly relevant to many different areas of employment.We will encourage you to creatively engage with traditional forms of theatre, as well as beyond the confines of a traditional theatre space. We want you to enjoy the challenges of creating work in urban and rural spaces, community centres and schools, and through digital media. Scholars/practitioners and visiting artists may be involved in teaching this course, all of whom share a passion for the discipline and are actively involved with the professional industry.
